Who we are
Wavelength (“we”, “us”) is a mobile polling and engagement app. We help you answer weekly and hot questions, see a vibe score against community patterns, vote on community questions, and keep a streak — while keeping your individual answers private from other users.
Information we collect
- Account details — such as name, email, phone, and profile fields you provide when you register (including via Google Sign-In where you choose that option).
- Your answers — the options you select for weekly, hot, and related questions, stored so we can show you history, vibe, and streaks.
- Approximate location — with permission, we may estimate country and city so community insights stay demographically useful. Exact coordinates are not shared with other users.
- Device push tokens — so we can send notifications (for example, new hot questions or community updates) via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Usage needed to run the service — authentication tokens, request metadata for security, and similar operational data.
How we use information
- Operate accounts, polls, vibe scores, streaks, and community voting.
- Show aggregate / anonymized patterns — not your personal answers to other users.
- Send optional push notifications you can control at the device level.
- Secure the service (sessions, abuse prevention) and improve the product.
What we do not do
- We do not show your individual answers to other Wavelength users.
- We do not sell your personal information as a product listing.
- We do not share your exact GPS coordinates with other users.
Third-party services
We use trusted infrastructure to run Wavelength, which may include Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Sign-In, and hosting/database providers. Those services process data under their own terms and privacy policies when you use related features.
Data retention
We keep account and answer data while your account is active and as needed to provide vibe, history, and related features. You may request account-related help through the contact details on our About page once they are published. We may retain limited records where required for security or legal obligations.
Your choices
- You can decline or revoke location permission in device settings.
- You can disable notifications in device or app settings.
- You can sign out; contact us to ask about account deletion once contact channels are listed.
Children
Wavelength is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). Do not use the app if you are under that age.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
