Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open the Wavelength app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion starts immediately. When it finishes, you are signed out and your account can no longer be used.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot open the app, email us from the address on your Wavelength account:
Or write to wavelengthuncensored@gmail.com with subject Wavelength account deletion request and include your account email.
We aim to complete email requests within 7 days after we verify the request.
Data we delete
- Account profile (name, email, phone, and related profile fields)
- Authentication links (email / Google sign-in identifiers)
- Your poll answers and answer history
- Vibe / streak personal progress tied to your account
- Community votes and hot-question requests you submitted
- Push notification device tokens and in-app notifications for you
- Session / refresh tokens
Data we may keep
- Limited security or legal records (for example, short-lived revoked token identifiers) where needed to protect the service or meet legal obligations.
- Fully anonymized / aggregate community statistics that no longer identify you.
Retention
After in-app deletion, personal account data is removed promptly as part of that process. Email requests are processed within 7 days of verification. Any limited security or legal records we must keep are retained only as long as those purposes require, then removed or anonymized.
