Our commitment
Wavelength has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and for any content, conduct, or solicitation that sexually exploits or endangers children. We do not allow Wavelength to be used to create, share, request, or distribute CSAM or related exploitative material.
Wavelength is a private polling and engagement app (weekly and hot questions, vibe, community voting, streaks, and leaderboards). It is not directed at children.
Age requirements
- Users must meet the minimum age required to use Wavelength in their region. In the app, registration requires users to be at least 16 years old.
- Wavelength is not intended for children under 13 (or the applicable higher minimum age in a user’s region).
- Accounts that appear to belong to underage users, or that are used in ways that endanger children, may be removed.
Prohibited child-safety violations
Examples of prohibited activity include (not exhaustive):
- CSAM or any sexual content involving minors
- Grooming, solicitation, or exploitation of minors
- Attempts to use polls, hot-question requests, community posts, profiles, or messages (if available) to harm or exploit children
- Sharing links or instructions that facilitate CSAE
Prevention and enforcement
- We review reports of child-safety concerns and may remove content, restrict features, or permanently delete accounts.
- We may preserve relevant records as needed for safety, legal compliance, and cooperation with authorities.
- Where required by law, we report apparent CSAM and related child sexual exploitation to appropriate regional or national authorities (for example, mechanisms such as NCMEC CyberTipline where applicable).
How to report a child safety concern
If you encounter content or behavior on Wavelength that may involve child sexual abuse or exploitation, report it immediately:
- In the app: open Settings → Report a safety concern (opens an email draft to our child-safety contact).
- By email: wavelengthuncensored@gmail.com with subject Wavelength child safety report.
Include as much detail as you can (what you saw, usernames or account emails if known, approximate time, and screenshots if available). Do not further distribute suspected CSAM.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
